Microfiber Cloths

Plush Microfiber Cloths:

These versatile and absorbent towels are one of the most important tools in plain jane's green cleaning arsenal. They use static electricity and thousands of tiny loops to trap dirt, dust, and grime. Use them dry for dusting, wet for mopping and scrubbing.

Microfiber cloths are durable and will last much longer than conventional rags. They are gentle enough to use on computer and tv screens and tough enough to withstand heavy scrubbing.

Wash in hot water with like colors, machine or air dry, but DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER! To avoid cross contamination, we suggest using green cloths for general cleaning and blue cloths for bathrooms. Cut microfiber cloths in half to fit "The Tool" or Swiffer Sweeper wet/dry mops. Cutting the cloths creates some lint, which will disappear completely after laundering.

Mopping with Microfiber cloths: Fill a bucket up with warm water and a small amount of Murphy’s Oil Soap (about half the suggested amount); toss in green microfiber cloths. Remove one cloth from the bucket, wring out, attach to mopping tool and start mopping. Once the cloth is dirty, throw it in the hamper, remove a clean one from the bucket, and continue. Since the dirty rags never go back into the mop water, the water stays clean and one bucket can clean an entire house. This saves water, soap, and time, plus you’re not “cleaning” your floors with dirty water.
